Patent Infringement: Samsung to pay over a billion dollars to Apple

Apple accused Samsung of copying its iPhone and iPad and therefore demanded $ 2.75 billion in damages and an injunction banning the sale of Samsung products in the United States.

Samsung Group shall pay the rival (Apple) a little over a billion dollars in damages for patent infringement, according to the decision taken on Friday by a court in California (west), US.

The court jury in San Jose, after reviewing some 700 complaints from Apple and Samsung over patent infringement, said that the South Korean Samsung has been found guilty of violating several patents filed by Apple, according to Cnet specialized sites and The Verge that followed the announcement of the decision directly.

In what marks a clear victory for the group home in Silicon Valley, the jury rejected the accusations against-patent infringement against Apple by Samsung, whereas Samsung demanded 422 million dollars in damage to California group.
The jury was faced with the daunting task of unraveling the cross accusations that embark in the two groups which is the largest trial for patent infringement filed for decades in the United States.

Samsung accused Apple of his side of stealing patents on wireless technology.
